Experienced HIAB Driver, Class 1 driver
Job Overview
Portable Space are one of Suffolk’s fastest growing independently owned businesses. We provide portable accommodation and storage solutions across many different sectors throughout the UK.
Owing to the continued expansion of our fleet of Volvo trucks, we are looking for an experienced HIAB operator to join our current transport team.
Reporting to our transport manager you will be responsible for the safe collection and deliveries of our products to various destinations including private homes, construction sites, manufacturing facilities and self-storage companies. A positive approach to customer service is essential and a willingness to contribute to the development of our transport operations would be very helpful.
Training in the lifting operations specifically related to our products and customers can be given, but a current HIAB qualification combined with a class 1 licence is essential for this current position.

CLASS 2 HIAB DRIVER

Spray Shop Assistant
Job Overview

Owing to continued growth we are looking for a Spray Shop Assistant to join our current team.
Reporting to our Spray Shop Supervisor you will be responsible for:

- Filling, Rubbing down, Sanding, masking and generally preparing various sized steel containers, steel cabins & associated accessories for paint spraying
- Paint spraying various sized steel containers & steel cabins plus associated accessories, using air / air-less spray equipment; one coat paint systems
- Cleaning & maintenance of spray shop, spray shop equipment including filter system, ventilation facilities & personal protective equipment

Container Conversions – Multi-Skilled Container Technician
Job Overview
Our conversions department convert ISO shipping containers into Cafes, Food Outlets, Offices / Welfare Units, Plant Room enclosures and other bespoke conversions to meet client requirements.
Owing to the continued expansion of this department we are looking for a multi-skilled container technician to join our current team.
In this role you will be responsible for:

- Lining out of Containers and Portable buildings creating CLS timber studwork framing Dritherm / Celotex insulation with timber lining boards
- Plumbing of Toilets, Wash Basins, Showers etc.
- Fitting ancillary items such as Aluminium / uPVC framed windows, Aluminium Vents, Internal Partitioning Hanging Internal Doors
- Maintenance of our hire fleet units
