Defibrillator
Here at Portable Space we are committed to keeping people safe, and as part of that we keep a defibrillator in an unlocked yellow box on the front of our office building, just to the left of the main entrance.
This equipment is made available for everyone in the local community or working locally so if you have the need do not hesitate to help yourself.
Of course if you do use the equipment please make sure that you let us know at web@portablespace.co.uk as soon as practicable so that we can replace or service the unit as required. We would not want someone else to go to the cabinet and find it missing.
Our First Aider checks the unit on a regular basis and is available to assist in the event of an emergency when present in the office during normal office hours.
All those members of the Portable Space team who have attended a one day first aid course will have covered the use of the Defib as part of that, however you do not need to be trained to use it.
If you remove the Defib and switch it on it will basically tell you exactly what you need to do. Have a look at this BBC video for further information about the use of defibrillators

If you are alone in an emergency situation and have already contacted the emergency services, if time allows you can always call us and if someone is in the office we will bring the defibrillator to you (assuming you are in the local vicinity).
