    Lauren Gladding

    Sales Manager

    Lauren Gladding is responsible for ensuring that our customers receive the highest possible levels of service throughout the sales process – from placing the order to delivering the product. As an integral part of this, Lauren is committed to exploring innovative ways to streamline processes to enhance even further the company’s excellent reputation and create a first-class customer experience.

    Using in-depth knowledge gained in the industry, she is also working with customers looking to set up their own self-storage operation using Portable Space products.

    Away from the office, Lauren enjoys reading, going to the cinema and socialising with family and friends.

  • Dave Stephenson

    Senior Sales Consultant

    Dave Stephenson has seen the company grow significantly since he joined in 2010 and has enjoyed playing a key role in sourcing and selling cabins and containers across Portable Space’s extensive portfolio of products.

    As Cabin & Container Sales Manager, he welcomes the challenge of solving customers’ needs, advising on the best solution to comply with the latest welfare and health and safety legislation whether it’s for a short-term project office on a construction site or longer-term accommodation to cope with a growing business.

    In his leisure time, holidays, fishing and running are among Dave’s favourite pastimes.

  • Lee Graham

    Sales Consultant

    Lee Graham is responsible for turning a customer’s requirements for a modular building or container conversion into reality with the aid of state-of-the-art CAD drawings and visuals.

    As Technical Draughtsman & Sales, he not only creates the best design to meet individual needs and guides customers through the process, but also project manages production to ensure each bespoke item meets quality standards.

    Away from the office, Lee plays bass guitar in a local band and organises an annual charity gig in aid of St Nicholas Hospice in Bury St Edmunds.

  • Yasmin Wells

    Yasmin Wells

    Sales Consultant

    Yasmin Wells’ role as a Sales Administrator focuses on answering customer calls and producing quotes for both new and used products, as well as dealing with online orders. Making sure customers are aware of the range of options and helping them to select the most appropriate for their needs is an important element of the job.

    Once the order is placed, Yasmin liaises with the Transport Team to arrange delivery and installation, ensuring the customer’s site is suitable for the vehicle used. Her previous experience in a Vehicle Hire business is proving very useful in dealing with transport requirements.

    Active in her spare time, Yasmin does a regular Boot Camp and fitness classes in the evenings and at weekends, as well as walking Bella, her French bulldog.

  • Tracy

    Tracy Spurgeon

    Sales Consultant

    Tracy Spurgeon is a Sales Consultant, helping customers to choose the optimum product for their requirements and ensuring a smooth order process through to on-time delivery by the Transport Team.

    To continue to meet customer expectations, Tracy is also engaged in identifying and implementing new stock management systems within the business so that product availability is managed efficiently. Her role utilises the wide range of skills acquired in her previous administrative position within a school.

    Out of hours, Tracy has a busy family life with her partner, children and eight-month old lap puppy. When time allows, she enjoys taking exercise and socialising with friends.

  • Natasha Palmer

    Key Accounts Manager

    Natasha Palmer is Portable Space’s Key Accounts Holder, looking after the company’s larger accounts and customers to ensure everything is running smoothly. Her role also includes business development, bringing new customers to the current growing portfolio.

    Out of work, Natasha takes to the stage singing in musical theatre with a local Operatic Society and enjoys camping and outdoor hobbies.

  • Michelle McGuire

    Hirefleet Manager

    Michelle McGuire is often the friendly voice that customers first hear when they call Portable Space to enquire about hiring a cabin or container.

    As Hire Manager, she enjoys ‘making things happen’, helping customers to find the best solution to meet their specific requirements. From initial contact through to delivery, Michelle liaises with other members of the team to ensure that everything runs smoothly – including confirming arrangements for delivery and installation.

    Outside work Michelle enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, going to the cinema and walking her dog.

  • Jamie Corney

    Senior Hire Controller

    Jamie Corney is Senior Hire Controller, helping customers looking to hire cabins or containers, right from the initial enquiry through to providing a quotation and arranging delivery.

    With 17 years’ experience gained in the cabin hire industry, Jamie is enjoying his new role as part of the team and making the most of opportunities as the company continues to expand. His knowledge of the hire business means he is in an excellent position to advise customers on the right product for their specific needs.

    Away from the office, Jamie can be found on his allotment where he grows vegetables, watching cricket, football and golf on TV or spending time with his partner Fiona.

  • Natasha Wong

    Natasha Wong

    Client Relationship Manager

    Natasha Wong joined Portable Space bringing eight years’ experience of managing key accounts in plant hire and construction companies, giving her an in-depth understanding of how to meet customer requirements for portable accommodation.

    In her role of Relationship Manager, Natasha looks after the company’s larger customers, as well as developing new hire and sale business. She feels she has joined the team at a very exciting time and is looking forward to playing her part in achieving future expansion plans.

    Away from her job, Natasha spends time doing CrossFit, travelling and eating out.

  • Jenny Bradley

    Jenny Bradley

    Hire Controller

    Jenny Bradley works within the Hire Team, looking after customers from the initial telephone or email enquiry through to providing quotations, confirming the order and making arrangements for transport and delivery.

    With previous experience gained in an equipment hire company, Jenny works closely with customers to ensure they choose the right product for the job from the full range of options available. She also checks out site suitability for delivery and installation, liaising with the Transport Team so they are fully briefed ahead of the day.

    Away from her desk, you’ll find Jenny out with her camera capturing landscapes and wildlife, most recently on the Isle of Wight. She enjoys meeting other photographers too and is Treasurer of the Bury St Edmunds Photography Club.

  • Danny Napier

    Senior Modular Projects Manager

    Danny Napier has over 30 years’ experience in the industry which is invaluable to customers looking for bespoke solutions to their accommodation or storage needs.

    As Container Conversions & Modular Buildings Project Manager, he helps customers across a range of different markets – including the MOD, construction, local authority and education – to find a practical solution. With an infinite number of possibilities, Danny takes great pride in seeing each project from concept to completion, liaising with customers throughout the process.

    At weekends, he enjoys spending time with his two grandchildren, as well as fishing in the Suffolk countryside.

  • Simon Cousins

    Modular Projects Manager

    Simon started his career by achieving a qualification in computer aided design and then working as a draughtsman and CAD designer before more recently gaining experience in site installation and project management.

    Working within our modular division, Simon plays a pivotal role in the design and installation of our various modular products, enjoying the variety and creativity of producing a solution which meets both the client’s vision and their operational requirements.

    Away from work Simon enjoys a game of snooker and spending time on the golf course.

    John Hutchinson

    Modular Sales Manager

    John Hutchinson has spent much of his career in the industry and is now using his extensive experience to help with estimating and quoting customer enquiries for modular buildings.

    He particularly appreciates working as part of a very busy and supportive team, in a rapidly growing business, with everyone committed to providing the best solutions for customers.

    In his spare time, John enjoys a number of sports, both as a participant and spectator, including rugby, skiing, cycling and mountaineering, as well as spending time with his family and carrying out DIY projects.

  • Ian Stringer

    Production Manager Conversions

    Ian Stringer is Production Manager for Conversions, leading the in-house team of ten comprising welder fabricators, carpenters, electricians, plumbers and floor layers who work on adapting Portable Space’s shipping containers to meet individual customer requirements – from accommodation to plant rooms.

    With extensive experience in the oil and gas industry where he ran a large fabrication unit, Ian ensures that the company’s converting projects are carried out to the highest standards and to meet delivery deadlines.

    Outside work, Ian enjoys koi pond-fishing, taking his two energetic Border Collies on long walks and participating in spinning classes at his local sports centre.

  • Stuart Weyman

    Transport Manager

    Stuart Weyman joined Portable Space as Transport Manager at an exciting time for its transport fleet, with ten vehicles and a further one on order.

    His role includes managing the team of drivers and ensuring the delivery of cabins and containers is a smooth experience for the customer. Stuart is keen to use his transport management skills in a family-run business where the team is passionate about what it does.

    Outside hours, Stuart enjoys weight training and rugby, as well as spending time with his family.

  • Steve Cumbers

    Steve Cumbers

    Transport Coordinator

    Steve Cumbers has seen the company grow significantly since he joined four years ago, particularly in the in-house transport fleet where he was a driver before becoming Transport Co-ordinator.

    Now office-based, Steve is responsible for scheduling all deliveries and collections UK-wide, using the company’s fleet of vehicles. His experience on the road is hugely valuable in terms of anticipating and assessing the challenges of each job.

    Away from work, travel is also a main feature. Steve enjoys navigating night rallies with his local club following an OS map and he also goes on trips with his family in a touring caravan.

  • Mark Smyth

    Finance Manager

    Mark Smyth is the company’s Finance Manager with responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day accounting function, ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently for both customers and suppliers.

    He enjoys working as part of a ‘great team’ and contributing to its ongoing success. As part of his role, Mark also looks after the HR and personnel function which is evolving as the company’s team grows.

    Away from the office he likes spending time with his family including two children, walking the dog and playing badminton and squash.

  • Angela Howell

    Finance Assistant

    Angela Howell is Finance Administration Assistant and along with other members of the department, is responsible for chasing outstanding invoices with customers and suppliers. She also works on the company’s sales and purchase ledger.

    With extensive experience in office management and credit control, she enjoys being part of the supportive and friendly team.

    Away from work, Angela can be found motoring around Europe in her classic Mini, indulging her passion for gardening and looking after her two cats.

    Website & Business Management System Administrator

    Catherine Barker is the company’s website and business system administrator.

    In her spare time, Catherine enjoys cycling – including to work each day – as well as going to the cinema, reading and playing Monopoly and other board games.

    Head of Operations

    Josh Brown is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of all internal operations within the company, forward planning to manage workflow and identifying systems and processes to increase efficiency and improve the customer experience.

    Maintaining this overview in a busy and expanding business is crucial to ensure consistently excellent workmanship and on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements.

    Josh previously worked in the retail sector in a business manufacturing and installing shopfitting, where he gained experience in operations as well as broader aspects of the company.

    Outside work, Josh enjoys spending time with his family, walking the dogs and indulging his love of sport, both playing golf and watching football.

    Managing Director

    As Managing Director, Mark Dolman is responsible for the daily running of the business, including working with department managers and the team to ensure that projects progress smoothly, as well as  being accountable for the overall profitability of the company.

    With a background in managing a manufacturing operation, Mark enjoys the variety of his role and the challenge and satisfaction of leading teams and developing individuals. His remit also includes reviewing and implementing internal procedures to further improve efficiency and ensure compliance.

    At the weekends, Mark likes nothing more than spending time with his wife and two children, contributing to activities in the village where he lives and supporting his favourite football team.

    Chairman

    Mark Black established Portable Space in 2002, and since then has managed its significant company growth and built an outstanding team of talented, enthusiastic and motivated people in all areas of the business. From just a few cabins on-hire, Portable Space has expanded its portfolio and is now a leader not only in cabin hire, but also in cabin sales, shipping container sales and conversions and modular buildings.

    In his new role as Chairman, his focus is to support and develop the senior management team to enable the business to grow sustainably and achieve its vision of doubling in size by 2026.

    Away from the business, Mark enjoys physical challenges including cycling and long distance triathlons, backcountry skiing, food and travel and sports with his three children.
