A chance meeting in a local café led Peter Knights of Bury Turfcare to commission a bespoke jackleg cabin from Portable Space to use as a combined workshop and rest room, together with toilet.
Bury Turfcare is a company dedicated to making grass grow in challenging places, on football pitches, on golf courses, in paddocks and large lawns of private homes.
Located near Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk its team look after natural grass, synthetic grass and the construction of new grass areas, using a range of industry-leading equipment to keep the surfaces in excellent condition.
Peter Knight says: “I was looking for a unit that I could use as a workshop to assemble my new aerating machine which puts air into the grass roots – called Genny Wren – and also for the team to have a place to sit and take their breaks during the day. Having a cup of tea with a customer in a local café, I noticed someone with a Portable Space jacket and started talking about my requirements.
“The 40’ x 10’ jackleg cabin is ideal for our purposes. It’s located next to our farm buildings and the jackleg design was perfect for ensuring we could get it level as the legs can be adjusted. I was impressed by the quality of the cabin and glad to have found a solution that meets all our requirements.”
