The Hub, a specialist fit-out contractor solely for the museums, arts, heritage and culture industry, has delivered high quality projects for private and public sector clients for over a decade.
Appointed by the National Maritime Museum as Principal Contractor, The Hub was honoured to transform the heart of the Museum. Utilising in-house facilities and specialist sub-contractors, high quality visitor experiences were created in The Sammy Ofer Wing, The Stanhope Entrance, The Streets and The Upper Deck.
To deliver the design scheme, The Hub contacted Portable Space to fabricate and install a 40ft container, cut down to the specified size. The finished painted container was delivered to site where its journey continued with other specialist AV and graphics contractors. The container’s purpose is to showcase the history of transportation.
The Hub said: “We had heard about Portable Space through word of mouth. Having contacted them with an initial concept, their team produced detailed technical drawings and undertook several site visits to ensure everything would work as planned.
“We were impressed by their great attention to detail, with all works completed off-site prior to delivery. Installation only took a couple of hours because everything had been planned in advance with any potential problems ironed out.
“Portable Space is a great company to deal with; they are diligent and plan each stage carefully to ensure everything goes smoothly. It was a good experience working together.”
