A Suffolk-based business is reaping the rewards of a successful grant application which is facilitating the next stage in its expansion plans.
Portable Space, located at Bacton, provides solutions for temporary and permanent accommodation and storage for companies and individuals across a wide range of sectors, nationally and internationally.
Earlier this year, it was successful in securing funding through the New Anglia Small Grant Scheme which is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
This has helped the company to design and build a new website that will grow its website sales by showcasing all of its products and services, enabling customers to browse, order and pay for products and services online.
The grant also assisted the purchase of an additional vehicle for its in-house transport fleet, to meet the company’s growing delivery requirements.
Portable Space was established in 2002 and since then has grown into one of the key employers in mid-Suffolk, with a current headcount of 40 people. It has been recognised as one of the fastest growing businesses in East Anglia by being included in the Future50 list of ‘companies to watch’.
This year, it has continued its ambitious growth programme through re-investment, achieving a turnover of £10.1 million and 24% growth in the last financial year to June 2018.
