When a Cambridge school urgently needed secure storage after a fire on its premises, Portable Space pulled out all the stops to deliver the next working day.
St Bede’s is a joint Church of England/Roman Catholic school with over 770 pupils aged 11-16 years.
Following a serious fire, it needed a container to store items cleaned by the disaster recovery team to avoid cross contamination.
Doreen Houghton, Resources Manager at the School said: “We had used Portable Space before and found them very helpful so I contacted them on the Friday with our urgent order to see what they could do. They pulled out all the stops and our container was delivered the following Monday.
“In terms of choosing the right container, we found the website very clear and we ordered the same 20ft one-trip container as we had previously, which we use for additional storage. It also incorporated a single door handle for easy access.
“Everything went to plan with delivery and installation. The driver was so helpful and everyone was really sympathetic to our situation. We got the impression that this level of service was just the ‘norm’ for Portable Space and we were very pleased.”
